2001.  The Strokes release their debut, Is This It.  The garage rock revival of the modern era has begun, and The Strokes are its brightest stars.  This album is perfectly constructed with live takesminimal production, and simple-but-ridiculously-catchy songwriting.

Then, to celebrate making such a great album, they played Family Feud with Guided by Voices.

1994.  Weezer releases their debut album.  They came to deliver geek rock and power pop to the nerds awesome people.  They did it so incredibly well that Bill Gates became their biggest fan.

And I will forever think of Windows 95 when I watch this amazing video.
